Bringing brain-centered care to you.

Neuropsychology interventions or treatments are sometimes called "cognitive therapy". These are methods made to help individuals with brain conditions (e.g. a concussion, a stroke, ADHD) who may struggle with their thinking and mood.

Psych Connect provides neuropsychological intervention services for adults that are offered virtually (online) for individuals, and as a travel "to you" service for in person (individual or group) to hospitals, clinics and community service settings in the GTA and Durham Region.

We offer Goal Management Training (GMT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Acquired Brain Injury (CBT for ABI).

Who can we help?

Help for brain injury, ADHD and beyond.

One of the most common challenges for people with neurologic conditions (especially brain injuries and ADHD) is "executive functioning" - distraction, planning, concentration, the ability to get started on a task, keeping up with a conversation, organization, and getting overwhelmed when it feels like there's just too much information to process. Sometimes mood goes down, anxiety, frustration and stress go up, and the quality of life and wellbeing, decrease. Executive function difficulty can also happen without a known neurologic cause, and can be very frustrating in day to day life.

Here at Psych Connect, we offer targeted interventions for executive function difficulties (Goal Management Training, GMT), which has been effective in persons with brain injuiry, ADHD, PTSD and more. We also offer a special program to help with mood changes after brain injury (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Acquired Brain Injury, CBT for ABI).
